Fort AP Hill

Short run down US-301 to Fort AP Hill near Bowling Green, VA for Claire's wedding on Sat. Sleepy little post. Nice, newly renovated campground that's called "Champs Camp" for some reason. We were in pull-through 16. Expensive for a military campground in the middle of nowhere at $35 full hookups. Laundry even expensive at $2/load washer or dryer.

Some pre-wedding pictures with grandson Eli. Wedding pictures later.

Kentucky Horsepark Campground

Beautiful Horse Country. We were on Site A15 @ $39.75/night. No sewer but big dump stations. Some sites have leveling challenges. Ours was ok.

Peru, Indiana (Miami County Fairgrounds)

About a 5 hour trip down US-31 to Peru, Indiana. 4 land all the way. Decent road.

We're staying at the Miami County Fairgrounds. 50 amp and water (dump station avail) for $30. Grassy field where we are all alone. Caretaker/Manager Doug is fantastic. Little town of Peru has shopping avail. No Wal-Mart but there is a Krogers.

On to Baraga Michigan

3 State day today: Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. All new to us. Alas, we can't add Wisconsin to our map since all we did was drive through it. Our rules. Good roads, mainly on US-2. I got to chill for 3 hours while Robin took the wheel...the day before her birthday!

We're 150 miles north of Green Bay! No wonder we see all the snowmobile trails! It has to be brutal here in the winter. Locals all call this UP (Upper Peninsula)

Staying at the Baraga State Park LINK for $22/night. Nice park right on Lake Superior.

Forgot to take pictures!
