Ark Encounter

Today is Ark Encounter day LINK. We've heard good things about it so we decided to come by here on our way to Indiana.

It is about 10 minutes north of our campground on I-75. All you can see upon entry is a huge parking lot and lots of buses. Turns out you park and then get on constantly circulating buses for a 10 minute or so ride to the Ark. When you first see it, it is amazing in size.

That's 3 stories of wood!  You then walk to the entrance.

Then you walk from bow to stern and then take long inclines to each of the 3 decks. We could not get over the amount of wood and workmanship it took to make this happen.

Started taking pictures but gave up. There are complete sets on the web if ones wants to see more.

 We had heard there was an excellent buffet restaurant on the grounds and that was right. Amazingly affordable, huge selection, very good food. Afterwards, we wandered through the zoo and Robin petted animals.

We thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
