Yellowstone (Not the TV Program)

This is going to be a hard one and a work in progress. Robin took around 600 pictures in a 5 hour drive! It will be hard to pare it down because the trip was so amazing.

We started at the East gate and wound our way around out the Northeast gate and back to Cody via the Chief Joseph (AKA Beartooth) highway that Charles Kuralt said: "this is America's most beautiful drive." LINK

Of special note was that we got into 3 or 4 Buffalo road jams. The buffalo wander around and cross/stand on the highway because, they are buffalo that weigh 2,000 pounds and it's their road.  They are 2,000 pound Honey Badgers. That's alright because you know its coming because you can see the cars stopped with buffalo walking all around the cars. EXCEPT...we had passed all the herds, I thought, when out of no where one popped out from behind a big bush feet in front of me! Hard brake and swerve to the other lane! He just stood there. Robin so shocked she didn't get a picture...she could have petted him!

Here's some buffalo pictures. We'll add the scenery pictures as we have time and bandwidth.

That is our mirror, They are that close.

Check back later for scenery pictures
